On Wednesday I sat down for lunch to watch Alexa's show and spent the first few minutes in complete awe of the awesomeness of her Acne wedges. The covered wedge and metallic platform have me completely smitten. Much to my surprise most comments on the fashion spot seem to reflect an anti-metallic platform preference, but I say they're perfection as they are.

I've succumbed to the pressure of the recession and now it seems that nearly 90% of my shoe purchases are from GoJane. This week I found myself in need of some basic strappy flat sandals (without studs) and these fit the bill. I just ordered both pairs and the total was less than $30, shipping included. Beat that.
These are the sort of pictures that remind me how simplicity and individualism can go hand in hand.

Did some DIYing yesterday. A little bleach here, a few studs there, a quick chop on the sleeves and voilà. I'm the proud owner of a $7 denim studded vest - inspired by the $90 one I swooned over at Topshop in April. Now if only the weather will ease up so I can wear it.

Experienced a bit of shopping success last weekend. Found a much needed pair of strappy studded sandals at Marshall's for $20, and this studded wallet at the Urban yard sale for $10. Not bad for $30, right?
