Okay, so I don't blog much about TV, but I just can't resist this one. Rachel Zoe's new show is "bananas." While she is ummm, interesting, though not necessarily a personality to which I aspire, the overall show has all of the fashion stuff we crave. I'm particularly drawn to her assistant Taylor's style - sort of messy rocker chic.My favorite person is Rachel's chill husband Roger, who has somehow managed to remain oblivious to the terminology of the fashion industry despite their 15 years together. The humor of this particular exchange between him and Rachel's gay assistant Brad still makes me smile:
R: So what'd you get?
B: A pair of black skinnies.
R: What're skinnies? Undies?
B: No, black skinny jeans. They're basically like long underwear they're so tight.
R: From where?
B: Alexander McQueen.
R: You're amazing.

i watch this show on mute. love the clothes, hate the people. i'm a fan of taylor's 'rocker chic' style, but if she could just move her hair out of her eyes for a sec, that would be great.

It's on Bravo - I think on tuesday night. Not sure, my tivo gets it for me. :-)
i love the show, and believe me i was NOT a fan of zoe prior, and now i adore her.
and i admire her passion, and she really knows what she's doing.
